Building Opportunity

Veterans Learning & Workforce Hub

Housing creates stability. Employment helps make that stability last.

Campaign: November 12–December 31, 2026 | Goal: $150,000

Why the Hub Is Needed

The Next Step After Housing

Housing is an important foundation. But Veterans pursuing employment may still need access to technology, career planning, training, transportation, work clothing, employer connections, and help navigating the transition into a new job.

84 Veterans were identified as experiencing homelessness in Monterey County in the 2026 Point-in-Time Count.

The Hub is being developed as the next step in helping Veterans protect the stability they build through housing, by creating stronger pathways to employment and income.

MC Gives! Matching

How Matching Works

VTC participates in the MC Gives! pro-rata community matching pool on the first $75,000 raised.

The final matching percentage depends on the overall campaign, so it is not a fixed or guaranteed rate.

Employer & Business Engagement

The Hub will connect Veterans with local employers, and we are inviting businesses to help build that pathway from the start.
