The Class

Healing, One Brushstroke at a Time

We explore different mediums and modalities so each participant can delve into their own healing expression artistically.

Your Instructor: Regina

Regina is a teaching artist who has worked with the Arts Council of Monterey County. She will help you develop “The Art of Expression” muscle that we all have.

Why Art Heals

Art class isn’t about talent — it’s about what happens while you paint.

  • Self-reflection

The quiet of the canvas gives your thoughts a safe place to land — and time to sort themselves out.

  • Empowerment

Finish a piece that’s yours from first sketch to final stroke, and feel the group celebrate it with you.

  • Distraction and flow

Ninety minutes where the only mission is the next brushstroke. Worry has to wait outside.

  • Brain stimulation

New mediums, new techniques, new problems to solve — your mind stays curious and sharp.

Every Piece Gets Its Moment

Every participant is supported and appreciated for their final projects — and we share our accomplishments together as a group.
